Remote SIM Provisioning

The GSMA embedded UICC(eUICC) has been developed to promote a common global remote provisioning architecture for the new era of technology. Backed by the world's largest mobile providers and endorsed by the world's leading SIM suppliers, this is a technical specification that enables "over the air" installation and management of operator profiles.

This specification increases opportunities for operators and customers around the globe by reducing costs and improving flexibility and efficiency as it drives the economies of scale.

Card Centric has been created to provide the exact RSP Platform Solution and supporting services to match the GSMA Standards for full interoperability and reliability.

Elements Involved

- Functionally identical to a traditional SIM
- A "provisioning profile" is assigned at manufacture
- Secret keys embedded allow the associated subscription manager to download and manage "operational profiles" on the eUICC when on site.

Manages the Embedded UICC by;

- Generating SIM profiles in real-time,
- Management and execution of MNO policy,
- Secure routing profiles to the Embedded UICC.

Mobile Network Operators

- Uses subscription manager to manage profiles,
- Maximum re-use of existing provisioning interfaces and processes.
